heather and i are buying a house! this isn't news to anyone who i've talked to recently, but i figured it was time to let the cat out of the bag here on the blog as the process is far enough along that there's not a lot left that could go wrong...
what started as an informal look at what was on the market in silver spring one sunday morning quickly snowballed into an offer and then a contract on a little cape cod just on the other side of "downtown" (and still within walking distance to the quarry house).
the last two weeks have been a whirlwind of paper and inspections, offers and counteroffers. we should be closing in mid march and then the work really starts.
